Birch group: The weather was quite cold and windy in Pike Shaw woods and it also rained from time to time. We looked for signs of spring and the weather was one of them. Louis Hodgson pointed out some flower buds which were opening. Cypher found some bluebells, Evans looked for a stinging nettle and Nathan observed a slug, he said: “It’s moving at completely slow motion!” Louie Herbert built a land rover out of a log, sticks and branches and soon drove off with Brayden! Some children played ‘I spy’ and ‘What’s the time Mr Wolf?’ Others preferred to run around the trees and tall cow parsley. The rain didn’t stop us having fun!

Oak group: see report in Owl Class section in the 9th May Friday Bulletin.
