Despite being wet and grey the children had a fantastic session at forest school this week and were not at all worried about the rain! We started the afternoon with funny action songs and then the children went on to explore and work together on self chosen activities. Due to the weather several children helped to set up the camp today that kept us warm and dry. Each week this camp is getting more and more ambitious and it now houses a large seating area, a cooking area and a first aid area; all highly organised by Dan. The rest of the group thoroughly enjoy popping into the camp for regular visits. Some children were very occupied looking out for different items from the woods; creatures, leaves, logs and sticks. Kitty managed to make a list of 126 different things that could be found on the woodland floor! Charlie managed to find a quiet hiding place that was excellent for discovering minibeasts.
