Due to the windy weather this week the children visited the Basildon Park gardens instead of the woodland.
They had a fantastic time watching the leaves being blown by the wind, "They look like ants rushing along"  "The leaves are spinning around like a tornado"
We discovered a mini laurel maze and the group had great fun hiding from each other and exploring the many pathways. We watched Red kites hovering overhead and tried to spot them through the binoculars.
Up by the house the lawn had been damaged and the children were fascinated to find out that Mr badger had been the culprit, feasting on worms and grubs.
The afternoon flew by and the children and adults had a wonderful opportunity to just let off steam!!
