The children in Ash group had a fantastic first session at Basildon Park. They were very excited to be going out to the woods and the weather was very kind to us. We spent some time walking around our boundary so that everyone was clear as to where they could play. We had fun playing games with each other using blindfolds and leading our partners to different trees to explore through touch. Once the blindfolds were off it was a real challenge to then relocate the tree that you had just been feeling. The children demonstrated great care and responsibility towards each other through this activity and many chose to play it over and over again. The group also got involved in bird watching, tree climbing and some even set up a space rocket. It was lovely to see them all interacting together and having fun.
