This week we had a very special Forest School  in Pike Shaw woods as it was Mrs. Carr's birthday! We had freshly made cup cakes (kindly supplied by Mrs. Cowen!) to make it extra special. Class 1 sang her "Happy Birthday" and both groups had fun making woodland birthday cakes with compost, leaves, sticks etc and putting household candles in!

Some of class 1 accompanied Gary and helped hide some presents in the woods (and had a go at using the hammer and nails). Sienna spent most of her time up a tree and a small group of boys enjoyed riding in the wagon again. Mrs Carr was very clever and made a little bird using plasticine, sticks and feathers she found in the woods. Erika displayed amazing creative ideas decorating pine cones and Rosemary also enjoyed making little creatures.  In class 2 Toby and a little group of helpers attempted to dig a trench in the woods whilst Dan and some others practised hammering nails into logs. Class 2 also hunted for the presents Class 1 had hidden. Next week we will be back at Basildon Park.
