Despite a very wet and rainy morning we had a great time in the woods.  Henry enjoyed playing with the ball run, using an unusual shaped branch to make a bridge. He later discovered that there was solid chalk rock under the ground and uncovered it with the help of his friends. Next week we will take some black card to make chalk pictures. Jessica found and then used pieces of chalk to mark X for treasure. She then took children around on a treasure hunt singing the poem We’re Going on A Treasure Hunt that we learnt last week in English.

Layla made a wonderful bug home using branches, twigs, leaves and other woodland finds, and a woodlouse moved in! Many of us made camps and used string to make defences. We finished our session sharing our various woodland activities and the robin came to join us just in time to say goodbye. What a treat! Mrs Hodsdon
