The children noticed a rainbow as we drove to the woodland- many knew that the sun was shining through the rain to create it. Next we warmed up with a hide and seek game before setting off to continue our activities which included collecting lots of leaves, spearing them on a twig and using magnifying glasses to hunt for more mini-beasts. Ella found a ladybird and Brandon found a slug. Oscar found bright orange eggs and them discovered a caterpillar in the bark of the tree.

Despite a little sunshine we almost got caught in the rain but thankfully Sydney and Lewis helped to make us a shelter where we sat for our hot chocolate listening to a kite circling overhead. Luckily for us the sun came out again before we had to leave. There was excellent behaviour and cooperation from everyone - well done children - another super start to our school week. Mrs Hodsdon
